My greatest gift in life is being a mama to my four children. From my earliest days, I was always looking for a baby to hold. I began babysitting years before my friends and I was given the privilege of being the youngest Personal Touch volunteer at our local hospital. I worked in the newborn nursery from ages 12-14 and I loved holding, feeding, and bathing those tiny, beautiful little bundles.
Fast forward to my 20’s when my own beautiful bundle was born- it was love at first sight and I knew I had found my purpose in life. Choosing to stay home and homeschool our children was an easy decision for me. I knew I wanted to experience every moment I could with them and I’ve been so blessed to be able to do so for over 15 years. Although it meant some sacrifices for our family, mostly financial, with only one income to support us, it’s been the best decision of my life and we have no regrets.
Many years ago, I began dipping my toes into the world of more natural “crunchy” living, starting small and learning as I go. We’ve slowly become more conscious about what’s in our food, our water, our home. Through trial and error, I’ve found a happy place where I know I am feeding my family well, using less toxic products, being mindful of the impact that our choices are making on the world, but still living and loving a full and lovely life. We know our choices are right for our family and that everyone’s journey is different.
I’m hoping in this space to share with you some of the lessons I’ve learned. Some of the things I love, and to build a community of families walking this journey together. I am not an expert on anything except my children and I recommend checking with your medical provider before making any major changes in your life.
I’m so happy you’re here- please feel free to reach out to me at any time by message, email: info@jennwalden.com, or on any of my socials. I’d love to chat with you and learn from your experiences as well.
Love to you friend.
